Help us help others!

September 01, 2010

There’s just over a month until the GoodLife Fitness Toronto Marathon and training is in full swing. The Eat-Clean Diet team will be running the half marathon (13.1 miles or 21 kilometers) distance in support of Team Diabetes and we need your help to reach our donation goal!

Diabetes is a cause very close to many of us on The Eat-Clean Diet® team. Millions of people around the world are affected by diabetes and all members of The Eat-Clean Diet® team are committed to educating others on the importance of eating a Clean healthy diet to avoid the development and alleviate the symptoms of chronic ailments, such as diabetes. We can make a difference for this cause with your help!

Each person who makes a donation of $20 or more will receive an autographed photo and will also be entered into a draw for a one-hour phone consult from me. If you have any burning questions about Eating Clean or training, here is your chance to get them answered personally and support a wonderful cause at the same time.

For those of you who would like to donate to my team, you can do so by following the instructions below:

  1. Visit Team Diabetes' pledge page.
  2. Type in “Tosca”, “Reno” and “Mississauga” in the boxes provided for first name, last name and city. Then click “Search”.
  3. Make your donation by clicking the “Pledge” button next to Tosca’s name.
  4. Email my team to let them know you’ve made a donation!

Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association will be used for:

  • Pubic and professional education
  • Diabetes research
  • Advocacy efforts
  • Administrative costs

Here’s how your donation helps:

  • $500 pays for 20 hours of world-class diabetes research, bringing us closer to a cure every day
  • $200 sends a child to one of our diabetes summer camps for one day
  • $125 allows one person affected by diabetes to attend an education session featuring guest speakers and demonstrations on effective diabetes management
  • $50 provides a full day of training for two volunteers who help educate and raise awareness of diabetes

Thank you in advance for your generous support. Together we can make a difference!

Keep it tight,
Tosca
