This weekend is one of my favourites of the year as I have the opportunity to mix with Canada's elite in fitness and training at the annual CanFitPro event in Toronto. It's hard not to get excited about it. I see friends and fans, celebs, and even my own kids, many of whom are stoked to be in fitness heaven as I am. While I am there I do what I do best which is talk (LOL). Well, really I try to inspire and motivate because, judging by the question I am asked the most, you want to know how I stay motivated so you can pick up some tips yourself on how to stay motivated, too. I have a lot to share this year as, true to my recent history, there have been many obstacles to overcome. I had hoped for a quieter year but this was not to be. When the Vice President of CanFitPro and my friend Rod MacDonald asked me to speak this weekend we both decided the subject should be resilience, the quality that helps us bounce back from difficulty. You can also think of it as the ability to float. Together with the tools of Eating Clean and exercise I think my levels of resilience are at an all time high.
My speaking times are:
- 9:30am-11:00am : This is registered event that can be accessed here.
- 12pm-12:30pm in the tradeshow on the main stage. This event is open to the public and free tickets can be accessed here. I will be signing at the CanFitPro booth on Saturday after I speak on the main stage.
- 11:45am to 1:15pm - I am the keynote speaker for the closing ceremonies. Again, this is registered event that can be accessed here.
Please come and see me at the show. If you are a fan I need your hugs. If you are a friend I need yours, too. I want to thank all of you who have silently or otherwise sent support. It has made the difference between bad days and good ones. Thank you specifically to the lovely gal who sent me a care package of David's Tea and lavendar sachets. I know you are only footsteps away from me but close in my heart.
That is how I feel about all of you. I can't wait to see you this weekend and again in new and exciting opportunities coming my way and yours.
Here's to resilience!
See you at the show.
