TOSCA’S WEEK 4 JOURNAL

6:25 a.m.

Laying in bed. Eyes open. I hear water. Rain pouring out of sky. Hear dripping sound in gym. Run downstairs and see gym is flooded. Workout not with weights but with water! Breast stroke? Butterfly? Nope, the Shop Vac.

7:00 a.m.

Finally get drink of water – in glass not on floor. Reconsider leg training and run hills on driveway instead. Sweating, running, feeling better now I’m moving.

8:00 a.m.

Silly morning. Nothing as planned. Now see dog has left big poo on floor. Gah! I step in it. Silly dog. Clean up mess (messy day I think) and think about what to eat. Poo and food in same sentence, questionable. Oh well, stomach says eat. Make Breakfast Bowl with fresh blueberries from garden. Add flax, for yes, poo. It helps.

8:45 a.m.

Watered, fed, showered and dressed I make tea and prep for Podcast recording. Record from 9 to 10:30 am. I love Skype. Can work with awesome people in comfort of own home. Must run to kitchen to find snack – am super hungry. 1 HBE + handful chopped fresh veg and home made hummus. All better. Very thirsty after run – drink lots of water.

10:45 a.m.

Must get writing. Oxygen and Clean Eating columns due. Think mind is clear to write. Get inspired to create new program – write that too. Two hours later still writing. Feel good, words coming fast. Answer loads of questions from you about Striking Sugar – answers are coming in video and on my site.

1:00 p.m.

Time for lunch. Visited local farm for salad greens, salad vegetables and free range eggs. Ridiculous how yummy green leaves can be. Free range egg yolks deep orange color – you know they are good. ACV and Olive oil – best ever dressing.

2:30 p.m.

Super hungry.

3:00 p.m.

Still hungry.

3:30 p.m.

Can’t wait. Time to eat. Still surprised how body knows what it needs. Tulsi Tea delish with Paleo bread spread with hummus. Made hummus with sunflower seed butter – also yum! Still no sugar and feel like a million dollars. Don’t have a million but feeling same is better.

5:30 p.m.

Second workout – need to fit dress and look good for CanFit appearance. Extra cardio session on mini-tramp. Love love love to bounce. Nike Fuel band goes crazy when on tramp.

7:30 p.m.

Dinner out for girlfriend’s birthday. Cod with steamed veg, all good on the plate – no added sugar here. Had a cappuccino – nice treat for a special night.

10:00 p.m.

In bed back at home with my Nighty Night tea. Say thanks for you, all of you who trust me, follow me, carry me, push me to better. My friends from all over the world, you are special beacons of light for people around you. Well done on your Strike Sugar Challenge. Together we are making massive changes because now we know we will never again accept sugary, healthy destroying foods. We choose health, sparkly and shiny health instead.
