Rexall And Tosca Reno – Partners In Wellness

November 10, 2017

Stronger together is a concept proven to deliver results whether you are a sports team, a business or a family unit.  As Henry Ford famously said, “Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress.  Working together is success.”

That’s just how I feel about my role with Rexall as their newest Wellness Influencer.  I have been looking for a home for my brand for many years.  A place where I can find those looking for wellness and match them with the good nutrients and products they need.  Rexall is that home – my new home and we are stronger together! #strongertogether

Now it’s my turn to meet you.  Come and have a visit with me at the newly renovated Rexall MapleGrove location in Oakville. I will be there on November 17th from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, ready to give you a hug and chat about your wellness questions.  You will love the store as it is a “wellness destination” rather than just a pharmacy.

As a Rexall Wellness Ambassador I have the privilege of talking about my favourite things; Eating Clean (naturally), nutrition and wellness.  Specifically this month I am on a tear to share the good word about Vitamins C and D.  I call these the “cold” and “down” vitamins because Vitamin C plays a critical and enormous role in boosting our immune system, especially in the winter months where flus and colds are rampant.  Adding 1000 mg/day of C will help you stay clear of illness.

When you pair Vitamin C with Vitamin D, you are really working the “Stronger Together” mantra.  Vitamin D, actually a hormone, is considered by many physicians to be more impactful for the immune system than vaccines, boosting your immune system factor by as much as 3 to 5.  The sunshine vitamin effects every cell in the body and is a potent anti-cancer agent.  Influencing nearly 3000 genes, “the D” helps your body make antimicrobial molecules that fight off infection.  Basically Vitamin D reduces the intensity of all symptoms of disease and the incident of all cause disease.  Just 1000 IU/day will do.

This is how I add Vitamin C and D to my day:

By: Tosca Reno

Yield: 3 – 4 cups
Servings: 2

2 organic kale leaves, washed
1 organic apple
1” piece fresh ginger root
2 Tbsp coconut milk (plus fat)
¼ cup plain kefir
3 Tbsp hemp hearts
1 Tbsp chia seeds
Water or plant based milk to cover ingredients
1 tsp Spirulina powder
Dropper full Rexall Vitamin D

Place all ingredients in Vitamix or high-speed blender.
Process until smooth – about 5 minutes.

I turned my life around years ago, using my Eat Clean® Diet, exercise and mindfulness practice to lose 84 pounds and reclaim wellness.  Now it’s your turn. You can do this, with Rexall and I. Stronger together!

With love and best wishes for health,

Tosca Reno

  1. so happy to see you emphasizing "organic" … that is the #1 most important ingredient in any dish.

  2. I couldn’t agree with you more. We need to be skeptical of where our food comes from.
